Falcon Advertising is introducing a whole new idea of Booklet Advertising into the Printing Advertising market. This concept is to turn the traditional Magazine upside down by reversing the amount of content and advertising in Magazine. The percentage of ad pages in magazines has ranged between 45 percent and 51 percent over the past 10 years, according to Magazine Publishers of America. (Adweek, 2009) Falcon Advertising is crafting the Advertising Booklet into 70 percent advertising and 30 percent content. In another word, Falcon Advertising is offering booklet advertising with magazine content.

There are numerous of advertising booklet companies who distribute their advertising booklet for free to every household in several areas. Introducing this product, which combining booklet advertising and magazine, can differentiate Falcon Advertising with others, as this could also be the strength and even core competency for the business.
Moreover, Falcon Advertising is providing content in the booklet which can better trigger the buying intention of the reader and thus contribute to the increase of sales for our clients. IPG surveyed 2,259 participants from Forbes.com and showed them Web pages from the site containing branded content from ads in three verticals (auto, liquor and financial services). Malaysians have a poor reading. According to a 2007 United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) study, it was reported that on average, Malaysians read between eight to 12 books a year. This is a dismally low number when we consider that the national adult literacy rate is 92%. One of the most evident reasons for the lack of interest in reading is the expensive cost of books in Malaysia. (The Star, 2010) By distributing the booklet for free to the public, Falcon Advertising can create more awareness and encourage the reading habits amongst the public, as they do not need to spends their hard-earned money on reading materials that they have no time to read.     The importance of reading is often taken for granted in today’s society. Many children who don’t get the opportunity to read due to low income face the challenges of keeping up with school work. The goal of this paper is to present a plan for a book drive for Lincoln Middle School, a low income middle school in Gainesville, Fl. A problem that many schools may have is trying to find the money to provide books that the kids will be excited about instead of boring textbooks or old books that are falling apart. This book drive will help to increase the literacy rates of children who are struggling in school. A book drive can help to motivate children to read more and introduce them to how fun reading can be. Our goal is to get children on the right track to help them succeed later in life. By introducing children to reading and its importance now, it reduces the risk of them dropping out of school and ending up unemployed and on the streets. According to the National Center for Family Literacy, Research Facts and Figures, “children who lack early exposure to reading struggle academically, tend to suffer from low self-esteem, and are at much higher risk of substance abuse, teen pregnancy, and delinquency.” Having parents that can’t read increases the chances that their children will also struggle with reading, thus continuing the cycle of illiteracy (Page Ahead Children’s Literacy Program). Not having the luxury of reading or being read to as a child can cause these problems. Our solution is to provide books to these students to stop these problems. According to the Page Ahead Children’s Literacy Program website, “reading aloud to children is the single most effective parent practice for enhancing language and literacy development” (Page Ahead Children’s Literacy Program).
