Communism was started by a radical German named Karl Marx. Marx was a man that believed the best way to run a country would be to have equality for all. …show more content…
Equality meaning having the same of everything. School, work, pay, and food, all are things that are liable to being equal. Communism tries to represent an entire society that can work together and be happy with the equality they have. Communism was twisted though from its original origins by Joseph Stalin. Stalin had twisted Marx’s basis to Improve Stalin’s own regime. The regime would eventually come to take between 30-60 million russian people(international business times). All those lives were not equal to Joseph Stalin, and he did all these atrocities without hesitation. He greatly affected the communist party in Russia until its downfall in 1991. The U.S.S.R was the original country to fully adopt communism which thus spread to multiple countries. China, Cuba, North Korea, Laos, and Vietnam. All those countries were and still are technically called a communist lead country. Communism leads to a government lead society, as well as having everyone conform to the rules and standards of the specific party. In any case communism works on paper, but fails to achieve the main goal of having all around equality. In every single communist regime the government is corrupt and abuses their power, communism has never worked. The effects can be seen in a converting nation such as china. Although the call themselves a communist country, they are slowly becoming more and more democratic. China’s industrial boom has lead to the chinese free market, this is the basis of a capitalist country. This is because people living under communist rule have decided enough is enough. The chinese will eventually lead themselves out entirely from communist rule, but for now the government still leads on in its ways.
Communism is the practical seizure of property and wealth from everyone, then having redistribution by the government.
This redistribution is very biased, its biased because the government takes most of the money and then having a poor majority. This poor majority is easy to sway and control because they hold no power. Communism in the long run leads to inequality, corruption, and death. These faults are huge contributors to why the U.S.S.R fell and became a republic. The corruption and lies lead the people to revolt, and thus leading to the collapse of the berlin wall in 1981. This prelim to the actual downfall was a clear signal that the reign was over and a new system would be in place. Communism only works on paper because it assumes everyone is honest and fair. This is why the entire political ideology was flawed. Having an ideology based on the behavior of people, is an absolute set up for collapse. Time and time again communism has proved to be a failing and terrible way of
government. Communism as a whole has affected many lives and has changed them for the worse instead of the better. The long term effects can still be seen today in Cuba and in China. Both of those countries still have social problems and Cuba has many trade regulations. All in all communism has never worked and still won’t work. The red scare is far past us and communism is really an ideology that died out with the fall of russia and the transition of China. China being the main communist country will in time fall to capitalism and democratic ways. The effects of communism is war, famine, death, and a lack of compassion. It leads to struggle and defeat, as well as being oppressed. Communism is the only ideology that took an extreme hold on multiple countries. Although the communist run countries pushed us to be a superpower, the United States is partly apart of the problem to a small degree. Being that the United States forced cuba out of the global market and the communist allies hated what we did. Communism will undoubtedly be apart of political talks in the future, but for now the communist power has died out.
