Black Hawk Down, Starts by letting the viewers know “Mohamed Farrah Aidid, The most powerful of the warlords, rules the capital Mogadishu. He seizes international food shipments at the ports. Hunger is his weapon, The world responds. Behind a Force of 20,000 U.S Marines, food is delivered and is restored.”(Opening Credits Of The Movie) This takes place during April 1993 Aidid declares war on the UN peacekeepers. In June Aidid’s militia ambush and kill 24 Pakistani soldiers, and begin targeting Americans. In Late August, elite American soliders, Delta Force, Army Rangers and the 160th SOAR are sent to Mogadishu to remove Aidid and restore order. They were suppose to be there for only 3 weeks but it took longer. Six weeks and they still haven’t
caught the General they’ve tried putting reward posters worth $25,000 and still didn’t get him, they’ve got atto thinking that would make a difference, the American General underestimating atto thinking he’ll snitch Atto claims is civil war claiming is none of the U.S business. General made the claim that 300,000 people are dead that’s genocide not war. They believed this war is much more complicated then the war in Iraq. One of the soldiers suffer from having seizures and got one while watching a movie, He got sent home and They put Sgt. Eversmann to take over for him
