himself after finding Juliet dead (at least he did). What he didn’t know is that Juliet was alive all along, but it was too late. His impulsiveness killed Romeo due to him not thinking, not only did he marry Juliet quickly, but he ended his life due to her fake death, like that is all he cared about. If he just stopped and thought on the positives, maybe he wouldn’t have killed himself so quickly and Juliet would awake in time. Another factor was him wanting to marry quickly. Just after Romeo met Juliet, he just assumed that they would be together forever, so he went to Friar to get him married. He states that she is the only one for him. This led to death because he never thinks. Waiting to see if she was the one for him would make him understand the rights and wrongs in life, and that there is no need to kill himself when things go wrong. That is one way a trait made the couple fate. The latter is Tybalt’s hot-temper. Tybalt was known as a person looking for a fight. What started with Tybalt later ended in Mercutio’s demise, releasing the anger in Romeo. Can’t believing Tybalt killed his best friend, he ends up killing him, leading to Romeo’s banishment. Why this led to his fate? Since Romeo killed Tybalt it all let up to “The Plan” (which will be stated later). If the fight never started, then the plan would have never happened, saving Romeo and Juliet’s life. One other way is the first time the Cap. and Mont. fought. This led to The Prince putting down the hammer stating “Rebellious subjects, enemies to peace,
Profaners of this neighbour-stained steel”. In other word, if they do it again, they will be killed if they fight again. If they never fought in the first place, they would never have had Romeo vanish. That would also have completely cancel out the plan Friar had. Friar could have also gotten the letter out to Romeo as well, if he was never vanished, he most likely would have seen it and knew the plan. All of those events were the cause of death for both of them. That is the second of the traits that led to fate. The tertiary of all traits is Friar Lawrence’s spontaneous planning.
Friar was extremely well known for thinking of things off the top of his head. His plan was to fake Juliet’s death, so Romeo and Juliet can leave happily ever after. What he states is that he will send a letter to Romeo so he is aware on the plan and get them to escape together. This leads to the couples due to the fact that…. Romeo never received the letter, thus leads to Romeo thinking she is dead, which made him kill himself. If he planned it out, maybe Romeo would have found and agreed with the plan. Another reason is Friar marrying the couple way too quickly. After Romeo meet Juliet about a day ago, he goes to Friar to get them married. However Friar states that he didn’t really love her, he just is quickly in love. If Friar didn’t marry them quickly, maybe the families would understand that they are extremely dedicated to each other, ending the feud. Also, Friar just did all this just to end the feud. If he thought twice about the decision, maybe they wouldn’t lead up to the events that killed them. That is the final trait that killed
them. To sum it all up the traits just stated ended the couples demise. If it is impulsiveness, hot-temper, or even spontaneous planning. This killed the couple since, in real life, these are considered bad habits, not once will the habit lead to no consequence, it will happen eventually. Hot-temper is hard to control, impulsiveness leads to unmoral thinking, and spontaneous planning effects the inability and laziness to think. That is why these three traits ended Romeo and Juliet’s life.
