For their similarities they all have at least three things two things in common. They were all stuck in concentration camps, they’re all Jewish, and they all have the will to survive. Elie and his father help each other out with food and they stick together. Meir killed his father for bread because he didn’t want to starve, and the son of Rabbi Eliahou left him be hide because his father was dragging him down. Rabbi Eliahou and his son were in
the run away from Buna. They also lived longer the Meir and his father. Rabbi Eliahou and the man that got killed over bread were both betrayed by their sons. The father of Meir, and Chlomo both got bread for their sons’.
Now they all have different relationships. Elie and his father help each other out and try to survive (they live the longest). The Rabbi looked for his kid even after he left him be hide to die. He must have really loved his son to do that. Meir killed his father for a piece of bread that he was going to give to him anyway. I guess the concentration camp has really changed him if he did that. How could have changed so much do something like that. I wonder if he had hated his father all along if he killed him.
