The development of society goes along with the enhancement in human equality, especially gender equality. However, this is not a new issue. Throughout the history, gender equality matter expressed by women's liberation movements, the ideas and standpoint for the rights of women and later found development of the gender movements, gender mainstreaming into development.
Equality has been received many scholars, researchers, and politicians concern which is clearly shown in the system of feminist theories. As a result, there is variety of theories to explain for oppressions, justice and equality for women all over the world called feminist theories. Each of idea forward feminism tries to comprehend those things by theorizing the "human agency", which is defined as the capacity of human beings "to act independently and make own free choices" when engage in social structure (ref). It can be seen that two important terms are "capacity" and "social structure" when taking into consider these theories because it is related relationship between them. When "capacity" refers to the ability of individuals to do act freely and make their own decisions choices, "social structure" describes the obstacles regarding to constrains from the views of society, religion, ethnicity, gender...that prevent people from doing what they choose to do, limit them from their decisions. It is what sociologist Philip Abrams (1982) stated as "the paradox of human agency". In short,, meaning that people's (women') decision making is never straightforward and influenced by the circumstances which were inherited from the past and the living environment people are in. In terms of feminist theories, it is necessary to analyze each of them through women' capacity and the circumstances under which they make their own "history" (Marx, )
