Many believe there was positive results on the lives of Cuban women following the revolution of 1959. Navarro, (doc 1) a female Cuban socialist feminist, discusses the patriarchal condition woman had to live under before the Revolution of 1959. She talks about the Spanish Civil code the imposed patriarchal power on women. Many people have tried to override this tradition for example the US had imposed military orders to override this tradition in which women were seen as less than men but their efforts were futile before the revolution. there are many views on the Cuban Revolution and how it changed Cuba as a country, some say the revolution is good for the country where some people disagree strongly with it and say that it was not the right path for the country to follow and they should have followed traditional ways.
