Film Analysis: Black Hawk Down

I’ve chosen the movie Black Hawk Down since it’s based of a true story and so many remarkable events happen within the movie. United States army attempt to capture the two underlings of a Somali warlord, unfortunately their helicopters are shot down and the Americans suffer many different casualties. The film “dramatizes the failed United States mission to help relieve famine in Mogadishu, Somalia, late in 1992 by securing supply routes against Somali militias.”
When I watched the scene where the helicopters come crashing down and the enemies come running towards them, carrying them out and tossing them around made me cry. “The lack of characterization converts the Somalis into a pack of snarling dark-skinned beasts, gleefully pulling the
Americans from their downed aircraft and stripping them.” Very emotional this movie was, I can say the biggest scene where I weeped is when an American soldier had dragged himself out of the helicopter and tried to hide from the enemies. Sooner than later they found him and started attacking him and they show how the soldier had the picture of his family in his hands trying to keep a hold of it until it’s lost within the dirt.
