Abstract
The objective of this project is to perform a financial and trend analysis of Wipro Technologies Private Limited by extracting the balance sheet and profit & loss account statements and calculating different ratios related to Profitability, Liquidity, Asset Management and Long-Term Debt Paying Ability. Also, I will be doing a comparative analysis of Wipro with its nearest competitor Hindustan Computer Limited (HCL). I will also be doing a sector outlook of the IT industry and the government policies related to the IT industry, the Holding pattern & ownership of shareholders, FII’s, Financial Institutions, public, etc., the price trend of the Wipro’s stock in the share market in the last 52 weeks and an analysis of the reasons behind any major fluctuations in the stock market. Based on all the above findings and analysis, I will also give a judgment as to whether a person should invest in the company or not.
