Despite the extraordinary input that Fiona Stanley has put to society, a controversy follows her. As mentioned above, one of the awards to recognise Fiona Stanley´s commitment with society was that a hospital built in 2014 was named after her. The hospital has presented lots of problems related to mismanagement by Serco, the company in charge of administering the hospital.
