Firefly And Kaylee Relationship
Firefly is a television show based around a crew flying in a space craft called Serenity. They all came together whether through fate or intention and take on odd jobs whether legal or illegal to make a living and to remain free of Alliance control. The Alliance is a governing body that believed in unifying all of the planets created after earth is destroyed whether the planets agreed or not. While not all members of the crew are a part of the thieving they do play a crucial role in the family dynamic of the show. The character that holds one of the larger driving roles of the show would be River Tam. River has had the largest development by far in the show. While the other characters do develop River fights through her insanity to find peace, home, and a family. When the series starts River pops out of cryosleep screaming and scared but at the end she is the strongest, smartest, and …show more content…
The first and most obvious bond is with Simon. The brother sister duo unlike most siblings seem less inclined to bicker and are more about support. River’s relationship with Kaylee based on friendship. While they do run into some rocky moments, Kaylee being fearful of River after she killed three men with her eyes closed, the two bond over a mutual want to have fun. Aside from the one scene playing ball in the hold games are not played on Serenity. Kaylee being the youngest on the ship likely feels restless and was happy to have someone to spend time with. River was likely attracted to Kaylee because of her warm personality and because she was the easiest to connect with. Shepard Book was able to connect with River because he understood her hardships with the Alliance and because he was supportive of her brother. It is unlikely that she did not know that Book was not originally a preacher but he was repentant and wanted to spread goodness which allowed for her to feel

Out of the entire book, I believed that Starletta and her family, Julia and Roy, and Ellen’s new mama all significantly impacted her life the most. Ellen was degraded on a daily basis by her own family members but was able to stay strong and push through it at such a young age because of a few supporters. Ellen showed a significant amount of maturity throughout the book as she learned to care for herself and still care for others around her as well. In the end, the type of person you are really does not revolve around the type of cards you were dealt, but how you deal with negative situations and how they have made you a better, stronger…

Justice is blind. The very essence of this statement explains it all. True justice doesn’t see wealth, color, or gender. Equality is found in her scales so that her verdict may be fare and balanced. Our Justice System today, as we know it, has moved farther than its predecessor at the start of this nation. Long are we from witch-hunts and people being burned at the stake. Just a few hundred years ago people were summarily executed with little burden of proof and sometimes no trial whatsoever. Over the next five centuries, we evolved in our humanity and the treatment of others. Our founding fathers and those after them continuously worked hard to ensure justice for all by creating documents and laws that would guide us to our known system today.…

    Table Tennis

The origin of table tennis has never been exactly pinpointed, even though it's a relatively young sport, younger than lawn tennis and not much older than basketball. The earliest known form of the sport, called indoor tennis, was played in the early 1880s by British army officers in India and South Africa, using lids from cigar boxes as paddles and rounded corks from wine bottles as balls, with a row of books set up across the middle of a table to form the net. Other versions developed in England during the 1890s, known variously as "whiff whaff" and "gossima," and Parker Brothers began manufacturing an indoor tennis kit that included a portable net that could be set up on a table, a small ball covered with netting, and miniature paddles. James Gibb, an Englishman who visited the United States in 1900, brought some hollow celluloid balls home and began playing indoor tennis with friends, using the new balls. Gibb apparently came up with the name "ping pong," representing the sounds of the ball hitting the paddle and then the table. However, an English manufacturer of sporting goods, John Jacques, registered "Ping Pong" as a trade name in 1901 and sold American rights to Parker Brothers, who came out with a new kit under that name. Another Englishman, E. C. Goode, in 1902 covered his wooden ping pong paddle with pebbled rubber, which allowed him to put spin on the ball. A Ping Pong Association was founded in England that year, but it lasted less than three years, mainly because Parker Brothers' control of the name made equipment rather expensive. Nevertheless, the sport spread rather quietly in England and Europe, primarily with equipment marketed by other manufacturers using the generic name of table tennis. A new Table Tennis Association was established in England in 1921. It was followed by the Fédération Internationale de Tennis de Table (International Table Tennis Federation), founded at a 1926 meeting in Berlin by England, Sweden,…
