First Day at college.
My experiences of my induction.

I have been overly pleased with my past 2 days of induction and I am looking forward to what is to come. I have many reasons for why I have enjoyed my 2 days at college. One of them being the people I have met, without a doubt I annoy them, a lot. But I have made a couple of courteous friends who I have relished being in the company of especially, Sarah and Harry.

Personally I was motivated by my less able cousin who cannot walk properly and lives with me to do this course because seeing the tribulations he had gone through with his disability has made me notice how lucky of a person I am to be the way I am and If I can give anything to any less able child its the feeling of them not to worry about their disability and to assemble their confidence since confidence is a key factor in life if you have confidence the choices you have in life are never ending for example if you are confident in yourself you'll be able to attain good grades in school and further education which of course everyone desires.

On the morning of the first day I felt rather enthusiastic to meet new people and to make new friends and to have a fresh start. Our whole class got diverged into 2 different groups and we got to introduce ourselves to each other which was out of the ordinary due to many of the class being shy and quiet being in a new environment. Being the confident person I am I do not tend to get nervous in such situations as starting college or a new school because people who tend to get nervous have it harder fitting in and finding out who wants to be their friend but if you go straight into the atmosphere of people you will see who you get along with and who you will most probably need to steer clear of.

Meeting new people was what I was mainly excited for because I wanted to make some new friends and find some new people I could get along with I had no issues what so ever coping with

Being a senior in highschool is quite stressful when you have to worry about College Application, Scholarships, Testing, and trying to overcome senioritis. Obviously, this time of year i have overcome those challenges and I would like to officially announce that I am committed to Florida International University. Fast forward a couple months after I found out that I’ve been admitted I’ve been anxious about meeting new people before the Fall term, the campus, and in general how do I survive in college? Attending the Student Admitted Day event, it has made me feel a bit more comfortable about the campus as I’ve learned more about the different programs, including Panther Camp. Two young fellows introduced me to…

We got to do a lot of shopping and decorating rather than sleepovers and long nights out with the friends. School was just around the corner and I have never had to go into a new school as a teenager and try to make new friends, it was something that made me really nervous and I wasn’t too sure if it was something exciting to be experienced, I just thought if it was anything like my old high school I was not going to be excited. My plan was to go in and only have to take a few classes so I could try and avoid that whole making new friend’s part. I didn’t know how to make new friends; I’ve never had to make new ones so it was a lesson to be learned. My first day of school came quickly I tried my best to make some kind of excuse so I wouldn’t have to go. The school was so much different, it was tiny, one story high and a quarter of the class size of my old high school. I was used to climbing up three stories of stairs like I was climbing Mount Everest and being practically out of air by the time I reached the top. No doubt about it this was a whole new…

I got accepted into the University here and will be starting in the summer. I’m excited but at the same time I am dreading it only because I don’t make friends easily. I think I’m too judgmental for normal social interactions with strangers. I’ll be taking classes for film and theater which will be an interesting combination but at least I will have two bachelor degrees and one masters when I am finished. Hopefully then I will be able to find a job doing when I loved best.…

The first few days of junior high wasn’t great. I had no friends and had no intentions on trying to get any. But on the 4th day of school, I was actually getting pretty bored of the no friend thing and decided to hit up with these 2 girls in my gym class. And from there I started being excited of this new school for new beginnings, but there was still anxiety flowing through my…

Over the next few days I gave myself pep talks regularly to calm my nerves about attending a new school with a population six times that of my old high school. When the first day of school finally rolled around I sort of felt happy. I was looking forward to a new start and an opportunity to make new friends, take different classes and learn more about my new environment. When I got onto the bus that morning I sat quietly as the rest of the bus was filled with the chatter of friends reuniting from their long exciting…

The way I try to view this first semester is to treat it as a learning experience. I knew I was going to have difficulty in at least one of my classes, and now I have a better understanding on how I can handle the situation. I will always ask questions whenever I run into problems because that is one thing I see students are a bit shy or uncomfortable doing. I will not let stress take over me as well because that can only bring problems. A simple way to prevent that is to always be on top of my A game in all my classes so I won’t have to…

I am currently in my freshman year at college, and I have found the experience a very rewarding and exciting one. This year has been a year of "firsts" in my life. I have experienced my first call home to truly say "hi," my first all-night study session, and my first time on my own and in my own space. Since the first year is a changing experience, I was glad to live with about two hundred other people experiencing the same feelings I was because it made it so much easier to make the transition from our former high school lives to our new college lives together.…

The transition from high school to college in itself is a frightening experience in some way for everyone whether it be moving away from home or the vastness of a college campus others learn from these new experiences. Many very important lessons are learned outside the classroom in college but there is also so much to be learned about who you are in the classroom as well. When someone first sees Composition I on their schedule the first day of college they might think that this class is going to be tedious, boring, and nothing but writing essays, after a few class periods though they will begin to realize that this class is much more than that. Composition one from my perspective was like dipping your toes into water to test and see if you are ready to go in or not, the water may be too warm or cold at first but that is no reason to shy away from it, if they jump right in they will find that the positives far outweigh the negatives.…

Walking into a brand new school for the first time with a bundle of happiness and a twisted knot in your stomach indicating just how nervous you really are, sure is a way to start your first day of high school. It is natural on the part of every student to remember the first day at school. Recently, I just became a 9th grader. I remember the day as a unclear haze, that resembled a impossible puzzle to complete. The night before was spent with stories of high school back in the last couple decades or so. Ever so often was an, "Oh you'll blend in," "You've grown so much," and "I cannot believe you're already in high school." Eventually the praise died down and it was time to climb into bed.…

Have you ever been so excited that your heart can’t stop beating? That’s how I was my first day at the university. I was very excited, but also I was frightened. I was about to meet the people who were going to be with me for four years. I kept asking myself; “would they be nice? Can I meet some good friends here?” That morning I woke up too early and arrived at the university early. When I got there, I just sat on the Philosophy Department stairs waiting for someone else to arrive.…
