It’s outrageous to read that Christine Ledd-Franklin and Whilton Calking completed their work toward their PhD’s but were denied doctoration because they are women. Even Though Ledd-Franklin received her PhD when she moved to Columbia University in New York.
There seems to be more women now days that are in the working filled and attending college compared to men. We became a super women. Our maternity leave in 6 weeks and we are expected to come back to work afterwards, leaving our helpless little ones behind with a family member, if we are lucky or daycare. We have to cook, clean take care of children, all at the same time. While man contributed only if they want to and even then, they received praise for doing a wonderful job. Our job never ends, but despite all of that I would never trade it in the world. Knowing your child, and have a connection with them, without even speak, is priceless. Seeing them growing up to be a teen-agers and helping them to reach for the stars, sometimes trying very hard to get your point across ,is magical and only mother (I think) can relate to
