Life is made up of experiences. It is experience that makes our life and it is experience that ruins it. Opportunities come and go and experience totally depends on how we use the opportunities. Life gives us experience in various forms and one of the small ones is through books. Although it seems to be small, it can play one of the major roles in shaping our life. I know of a man who was in deep trouble and it was a book that changed his life because that book taught him how to tackle his problems. Books are our best friends and I as an individual love to read books and there are definitely many books that I have read, among which five have come out to be my best pals.
The first one is a book called ‘You Can Win’ which my maternal grandfather gifted to me on his visit to ours. Written by Shiv Khera, the book is an international best seller famous for its proverb ‘Winners don’t do different things, they do things differently’. It has changed me from a person with a negative attitude, demotivation, little self-esteem, and less confidence to one with a positive and goal-setting attitude, motivation, confidence and self-esteem. In one sense, this book is a construction manual. It describes the tools we would need for success, and offers blueprints to help us build a successful and rewarding life. In a second sense, it is a cookbook. It lists the ingredients- the principles we will need to follow to become successful and gives us the recipe for mixing them in correct proportions. But above all, this is a guidebook, a book that explains step by step how to take ourselves from dreaming about success to unlocking our potential for success. It has taught me to learn from mistakes and to keep moving in the correct direction to achieve my goal.
