1) Bodhgaya (Buddhism) :- Bodhgaya is located in the gaya district of Bihar state of India. Visited by Buddhists from all over the world, Bodhgaya is the most sacred place of Buddhism. The Bodhi Tree at bodhgaya is the place where Lord Buddha attained Enlightenment. Mahabodhi Temple is the temple built in 3rd century at the very place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment.

2) Char-dham (Hindhuism):- Char-dham are the four sacred temples that Adi-Shankaracharya created back in the 8th century in four directions to mark the national and cultural unity of Hinduism. The char-dhams are in four different directions of the country - Badrinath Temple (North - Uttarakhand), Jagannath Puri Temple (East - Orrisa), Rameshwaram Temple (South - Tamil Nadu) and Dwarka Temple (West - Gujarat). The Char Dham are often considered the most revered sites for Hindus that have to be visited in one's lifetime.

3) Harmandir Sahib (Sikhism):- Harmandir Sahib popularly known as Golden Temple is located in Amritsar district of Punjab. Built by the fourth Guru of Sikhs and completed by his successor, Harmandir Sahib is the holiest site of Sikhism.

4) Moinuddin Chisti (Islam):- The dargah of Moinuddin Chisti popularly known as Dargah Sharif or Ajmer Sharif is an international wakf. It is one of the holiest places of worship in India and worshiped by religions of all people.
Pawapuri

5) Pawapuri (Jainism):- Pawapuri around 100 km from Patna is holy site for jains. Lord Mahavira, the last tirthankar and founder of Jainism, breathed his last at this place and were cremated here. The demand for his ashes was so great that a large amount of soil was removed from around the funeral pyre, creating the water tank. A marble temple, the "Jalmandir", was later built in the middle of the tank and today is one of the most holy places for jains.
