The current disciplinary procedure that is in place at Fort Zumwalt school district is, unlike a corporate environment. There are employee contracts and work rules that have been negotiated, which means you have to follow a strict disciplinary procedure for unsatisfactory job performance.

I would say to improve employees job performance will have to do with the leadership of the organization. The work policies would need to be examined, and the training practices would need to be reviewed. I suggest employee evaluations that properly document the company’s goal and bench mark where the employee is currently at is a good start, “Performance improvement plans contain specific areas, milestones and goals for immediate improvement. “ (Mayhew).
The disciplinary procedure has to do with open and clear communication with the employee. The responsibility is on the manager to direct the employee, so they are successful. Through proper collaboration the manager and the employee will have a successful working
