From the second chapter where the current land family is being introduced, there was a lot of focus on controlling a gun the right way while hunting. Jeremiah, Reuben, Davy, and Sweed were at August Shultz's cabin. Reuben follows Davy hunting, and when Reuben observes Davy holding his gun waiting to shoot, he sees focus in his face like never before. He uses many descriptive words when explaining Davy holding the gun such as "I remember the low angle at which he held his shotgun; I remember his shadowed, patient eyes--he looked ready to burst from cover and chase down an antelope." (Page. 14) a little while later, while redescribing the scene with Davy hunting the goose, Reuben says "Not confidence --I understand confidence. What Davy had was knowledge." (Page. 15-16)…

Two teams of five players must try to destroy each other’s base. That’s it. Sounds simple right? But when XP, gold, CS, wards, lanes, ganks, Barons, dragons, and countless other variables that no doubt make little or no sense to the uninitiated are thrown into the mix, the game morphs from kindergarten math into math so complicated and complex, that even the world’s best mathematicians would struggle. I was drawn in by the simplistic masquerade, and then found myself enthralled by the intricacies and competitiveness of the game. Every facet I discovered in the game was so interesting and unique that I couldn’t look at games in the same light ever again. If I wasn’t playing League of Legends, I was wishing that I was. There wasn’t a day where I didn’t think of it, I found something I truly loved doing. I was content. And to this very day, I still…

Sports games are also a variety themselves; they range from baseball to football to soccer. Anyone who plays sports enjoys these types of games because of the competitiveness and the enjoyment of playing it with friends. In an article by S.A. Perkins from the student review, he states, “I like playing the game of FIFA. Not exactly on my own- playing a career is alright, for a time, but it gets boring very fast- but with my friends it is extremely fun.” Playing this type of game with friends is very enjoyable, which is way many people play these games. Later in his article, Perkins speaks about how he enjoys sports games because he feels a sense of accomplishment and pride in doing well at sports games, while it is the opposite for him in real-life. Many people may play sports games because they are not amazing at them in real-life but they still enjoy this sports. Whether the reasons for these games, the industry sees the potential in them. Six months ago, corporate daycare facilities were cleaning out my bank account. I was losing the ability to pay for gas, rent and my utilities because all my money was going towards my son’s weekly daycare tuition. My parents could help me scrap on by here and there but that wasn’t there responsibly. It was then that my mother suggested that I should look into putting my son into a local licensed in home daycare facility opposed to a major corporate daycare facility. I was a little skeptical at first, but I was willing to look into a facility that could possibly save me a lot of money. I’m not an expert on daycare facilities but with my experience of working for a franchised facility and being a single mother and college student on a budget, it has given me the knowledge to advise others. For the purpose of my speech, I want to inform my audience on the different types of daycare facilities, the tuition and what to look for in choosing a facility.…
