Its advantage is self evident. It is great in organizing individual personality differences. It is here and now. It has been tested and proven valid. The cause and effect has been proven. The five-factor model of personality are five broad domentional traits. The traits consist of extraversion, neurotism, agreeableness, conscientiousness and openness. I chose this theory over all because I too believe that people exemplify different personality traits at different times in life depending on the circumstances. I feel that I can relate to conscentiousness and agreeableness traits at different stages in my life. Therefore, I am more likely to study this theory. Social - Cognitive theory is the approach to explaining people attitudes, beliefs, expectations and responsiveness to waking suggestions. This theory focuses on enviromental factors mutually influencing one another meaning that pre-existing expectations and beliefs has a big role in the way we act or react. Banduras theory was that people learn from observing one another. The advantage is that this theory is respected and reconized. The disadvantage is that instead of being a personality trait it is more of a reaction to ones situation based upon expectations and beliefs. Which can alter the
