GOAL: The objective of the Management Training Program is to develop graduates of Hospitality Programs into strong operational managers at the hotel where they are placed. The program is designed to ease the transition from the academic environment into the hospitality industy Month 1: • • • • •
Assigned to department where trainee will complete his/her initial training Introduced in the hotel as a Management Trainee Assigned a Buddy to welcome trainee to the area and the Four Seasons Attend Four Seasons Introductory Training Program (FSITP) Rotate through departments throughout the Resort to gain understanding of the complexity of the operation.
Months 2-7: • Assign first job placement • Complete Training Program for assigned department • Train and work as hourly employee in department • Participate in departmental management meetings • Learn management responsibilities for the department • Complete management projects as assigned by Department and Division Heads. • Performance evaluation given at 90 days by Department Head • Attend resort meetings as needed: • Department Head, Morning Operational meeting, Direct Line, Divisional meeting. • Assigned a Mentor to assist with career development • Complete at least sixty hours of Management Development Training such as the Standards Coach Training for Managers, the 12-Week Supervisory Development Program, and Basics of Managing. Months 7-12: • Transfer to a new Home Department for training • Complete Training Program for assigned department • Train and work as hourly employee in department • Participate in departmental management meetings • Learn management responsibilities for the department • Complete management projects as assigned by Department and Division Heads. • Complete at least sixty hours of Management Development Training • Become involved in departmental training; assist Standards Coaches Program ends when the Trainee
