Who is likely to be bullied?
Bullying is a traumatic issue schools are having in today’s society. Sometimes a bully will act the way they do because they have problems going on at home or are just acting out. Boy’s and younger middle school students are most likely to be bullied (Santrock, 2013). Children who say they are bullied tend to be lonely and have difficulty making friends, while the bully has low grades, smoke cigarettes, and drink alcohol (Santrock, 2013). Researchers have found that anxious, socially withdrawn, and aggressive children are often the victims of bullying situations (Santrock, 2013). Anxious and socially withdrawn children are usually bullied because they are not conceived as a threat and will not retaliate, while aggressive children will be bullied because their behavior may be irritating to the bully (Santrock, 2013).

One is cyberbullying, which is bullying or harassment on the internet (Santrock, 2013). This can be done through social media, Facebook, Myspace, dating sites, email, and many more. Another method existing types are physical, which includes physical contact like hitting, kicking pushing, and damaging property (Alannah & Madeline Foundation). The third type is verbal, which is name calling, insults, intimidation, homophobic or racist remarks, or verbal abuse (Alannah & Madeline Foundation, 2010). The fourth kind of bullying is covert, which is often hard to recognize. It is a type that is designed to harm someone’s social reputation and cause humiliation (Alannah & Madeline Foundation, 2010). This type usually involves spreading rumors, negative facial or physical gestures, playing nasty jokes on someone to embarrass them, mimicking cruelly, encouraging others to exclude one another, and damage someone’s social reputation (Alannah & Madeline Foundation,
