Objective A1: Through the course of a five to ten-year time frame Sear Holding Co. will slowly begin to reinvest in smaller Sears and Kmart stores by installing better lighting, new shelving and updating product displays, this design should reposition merchandise to maximize sales.

DieHard is a premium brand for automotive batteries, it is designed to have “bigger plates, more acid and extra starting power,” (DieHard Legacy - Innovations, Milestones & Recognitions, n.d.). The brand has expanded to include medium priced, medium duty batteries as well as the premium prices, heavy duty line. It doesn’t produce batteries just for cars though, it also includes batteries for motorcycles, boats, golf carts, garden tractors and snowmobiles not to mention smaller batteries for tools and flashlights. DieHard has an innovative culture and continues to diversity by creating better products and expanding into new markets. Its “Power Ahead” slogan falls in line with their “most trusted” and “dependable” reputation.
