The people he was trying to reach and get them to read this book are the people who like Action and Adventure stories. Plot Twists are a big thing in this book also. There are a lot of jokes and he included these to get people to laugh so the book isn't too profound. The style he wrote is different, his book moves between characters pretty abruptly. You could see Alyss somewhere and the next thing you know Redd is planning stuff. It's different but it's also very idiosyncratic. The Looking Glass Wars is a great book and I think anyone should read it. It's full of an abundance of twists. There is a bunch of baffling stuff that you wouldn't expect to happen, but when it does, it keeps you interested and drawn to the story. If you like action and adventure style books then I would recommend this book to you. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, just when you think you know what's going to happen, it changes and does something else. It's confusing but it makes sense at the same
