Welp, there I was. Mom always said my head looked like a bowl of ramen noodles, but I never believed her. I was born in Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa August 10th 2000 at 2:43am after 22 hours of labor. Mama had to get an emergency C-section. My mother and grandfather choose the name Jayden. My mom wanted the name “Noah”, but my papa said no way. The name Jayden means “god has heard” in Hebrew. Papa really liked it. For the first 3 weeks of my life I lived with my grandparents. I then moved into an apartment for about 2 months, but mom said the apartment smelled like cat pee so we got outta there pretty quick. It was then I moved into my childhood home. A little green house on a quiet road in the North End. The house I would spend 8 years of my life in. I remember it has an fashioned clothes hanger out back that I used to pretend was a zipline, and slide around till my arms were sore. My first birthday approached, and through it all, it was just my mom and I. You may be asking yourself, where is his dad? Not there. See originally my dad wanted

The raggedy place wasn't a site for sore eyes, but it was my new school. Though school is supposed to be a time of meeting new people and building bonds, it wasn't really like that for me. I didn't have much for acquaintances. I went to school and I went home. That was about it. I used to be a pretty quiet kid. At home after school I would be so bored I would climb to the top of my garage and jump off. It was fun after a while, until my grandma saw exactly what I was doing. I got a stern talking to, yet after that it only took me about five more minutes to do the same thing. My energy was through the roof at home. Not even close to what it was at school. It raised a lot of questions. My activity grades weren't the best, I was encouraged to be apart of school more and more each day. If only they could know what they

Since that day I have been here in Atlanta, GA where I reside at 1978 Phillips Drive. There on my parents have made two additions to our family; my 15 year old brother Jahmal and my 12 year old brother Chris. I can honestly say my family is the greatest thing in the world. My mom is a Purchasing Agent for United Distributors, and my dad is an ISS teacher at King Middle School and South Atlanta High School’s Head Baseball and Softball coach. Redheads have been the subject of many speculations and mysteries; from the myths and legends that surround them; their attraction and people’s obsession over the color of their hair, to the phenomenon of hair stereotypes and temperamental patterns people associate with redheads. The origin of redheaded people, for example, has been a profound mystery. Are all redheads descendants from the Vikings, the Celts or where did they come from? These are just some of the questions James L. Breeling is researching in his article Hair Color: Biology, Mythology and Chemistry. Another big wonder is red hair’s significance in determining human temper, personality traits and mate preferences. The University of Michigan- Dearborn conducted an experiment detailing Hair Color Stereotypes and Their Associated Perceptions in Relationships and the Workplace. Lastly, the attraction that red…

It was a chilly day on March 6, 2007. Me and my family were on 495 going to the Holy Cross Hospital with a slight delay of traffic. For some reason, I kept fiddling with my fingers, I was really nervous to see him. We took the exit 31A and we all shifted to the left since it was a sharp turn to the right. My big sister, Maisie, was on my shoulder and we shifted her head fell on my lap. She woke up and asked where we were. “We are almost there Maisie” my Dad said. We stopped at the traffic light and I fiddled with my fingers some more. “Stop fiddling with your fingers!” Maisie whispered to me. In my head, I say “I can’t, he is the first boy of the family, the first! Besides me!” I stopped fiddling and looked at the huge structure in front of me, The Holy Cross Hospital.…

My parents had lived in Illinois their whole life and grew up there so when we moved back to Illinois it was basically saying that we were just going home. My name was chosen by my mom because she said that Danielle was one of her favorite girl names. She also said that one of her good friends name is Danielle and my mom told her that she was gonna name me after her. A couple days after I was born is when the first ever school shooting happened at Columbine High School in 1999 in Colorado. I share a birthday with Kassidy Steffen and Colleen Daniels. The first couple years of my life I honestly do not remember. My mom has told me stories about when I was a baby. When I was little I loved to help out and do whatever my mom was doing. From doing the dishes to making cookies I was there to help out. My mom told me that I was a momma's girl. I always cried when my mom left to go to work. I also had a big imagination and always like to…

Change seemed like the end of a perfect world. When I moved into the new house the smell was unrecognizable, the environment was somber and insipid. School felt strange and I felt everyone staring at me as a strange specimen from a lab. The first weeks were unbearable; I was thirteen and felt like a misfit, I could not get myself to adjust. I talked to many people, but I kept on jumping from group to group because I could not consider any one my friend as in the previous school. Phobia stroked…

My life started on December 13, 1999 In Ahoskie, North Carolina. I was born at 12 p.m. As my family would tell it was a very different day for everyone. I was my mom’s first born child and the same for my dad. I really don’t remember much about my childhood. The furthest back I remember is like 4th grade way back when I made my mother proud. I had straight A’s and I never had a single write up. I always tried to do the best I could to get through the years and I did well until the sixth grade.…

July 14th, 1931. I lie in my deathbed at 10:49 pm, thinking. It seems like just yesterday I was only five, with my whole life ahead of me. I remember my mother told me stories while I sat on her lap. She would make hot chocolate and I would listen to her talk. My favorite story always started the same way. On September 2nd, 1903, the day I was born. My mom went into labor a month earlier than expected, so it was a good thing that they already bought baby supplies. The only problem was my parents thought I was going to be a girl. My mother would laugh every time she spoke of this, but she always assured me afterwards that they both love me all the same, no matter who I turned out to be. They named me Lawrence Exeter, after my father. This was the last and only memory I have of my mom before she left us.…

Let’s start in the beginning, (very biblical I know but bare with me on this; it’s my first time). As I predicted, I was conceived as an accident, my father being a big time criminal and heroin addict (along with many other hard drugs I’m sure). My mother was going through a very tough stage in life where she felt unsettled by her parents for some reason, became a punk of some kind, would away from home incessantly, take all sorts of revolting narcotics and most possibly have a lot of sex with various guys. I’m not sure how my mum and dad actually met, that is a riddle to be solved, but I do know that they had a little flat in London and were living together with two dogs, one of which a violent Staffy. Once mum had found out that she was pregnant with me my father lost it. Every now and then he’d beat her and hurl abuse at her. I’m not sure what he was like sober; my mother says that he was never to be seen so. He was always wired on something.…

My earliest memories of school fill me with dread, resentment and an overall feeling of being ‘let down’ by my teachers. I only have fond memories of my lower school – it was warm, my teachers were kind and I had a lot of friends. As soon as I moved up to middle school, the lovely warm feeling school gave me popped and dissolved as quickly as a bubble would when it hits the ground.…
