I am very much thankful to the teachers, faculty, student and parents who helped me and gave me ideas that inspired me and touched me deeply, without them I could not finish this partial fulfillment of Field Study. I also thank the school personnel, ________________, _________________ that graciously welcome and allowed me to have an observation of their respective classroom, to Sister Yumi who served as my partner in our observation, and to Mrs. Terencia Arnejo to develop the insights and experience that in fuse the content of this book.
II. PREFACE
Field study (FS) 1 talks about observation. Observation is an effective means of learning how to be competent teachers and it I done before actual teaching. The pre- service teacher has to determine whether school environment is conducive to learning because it is a major factor in a number of environmental influences that condition the learner’s growth. This done through observation of the learner, school structure, facilities, physical plant, rules and regulation, policies and guidelines of the cooperating school.
Furthermore, in this course, we learn the nature and elements of observation and how we can best use this to empower ourselves as well as to become a better and effective teacher in the near future.
II. INTRODUCTION In education, teachers facilitate student learning, often in a school or academy or perhaps in another environment such as outdoors.
