"And this I am Especially Proud of"
- Q

"I think we 've met." These were the words of James Bond as he stepped into his talking BMW 750IL during the movie Tomorrow Never Dies. Throughout the years, the weapons and gadgets that have come from the hands of the Q Branch, has never turned James Bond down, they are the coolest and are the best in spy paraphernalia. If someone would try to compare Bond 's gadgets to gadgets of the military, Bond would win ten to one. Of course, as technology changed and time passed, the Q Branch developed better equipment, but many of the classic gadgets are still obsolete in a technology driven world we live in today. For example, Bond 's old Aston Martin DB5 can out run a Ferrari 355 F1 Spider that was demonstrated in the movie Goldeneye. (Ultimate James Bond Page http:jmsbond.tripod.com) As the James Bond story continues, the better and better the gadgets will get. The best thing about the gadgets of the Q Branch is that they will always be unique. 3 Patel

In “The Use of Spies,” of Sun Tuz’s The Art of War there are countless reasoning’s as to why a spy is a spy. In the film “Goldeneye,” these reasoning’s are showed countlessly. One is early in the movie when James Bond and his newly girlfriend is taking a nice drive through the mountains but suddenly his ex-girlfriend appears. She antagonizes him to race through the mountains which he does. Sun Tuz’s says “They cannot be properly managed without benevolence and straightforwardness (39).” This is shown by Bond listening to the lady as she says “you’re just trying to show the sizes of your…” James Bond then goes on to say engine and as she tells him to stop the car he does so. Although as a spy you try to limit your soft sports, he had a soft…

For this sequence analysis, I have chosen a scene from William Friedkin’s The French Connection. The scene chosen is the chase sequence and confrontation between Popeye Doyle and the sniper on the roof who worked for “Frog number one”. I believe that this sequence differs from classical Hollywood conventions in a numbers of important ways, marking it quite clearly as a different sort of film to the police procedurals which may have come before it.…

A world super power and one of the most technology advanced militaries is the Soviets. The soviet military turned a well-engineered rifle into a legacy by selling the blue print of the ak-47 to other countries like China, Yugoslavia, Romania and Bulgaria saving them the time because they could have developed their own ak-47 by reverse engineering an original one, the Soviets simply left out the correct…
