.6. Games and motivation Motivation is a key to learning, which can be created by games. Robinson (1960) stated that motivation is a driving force which can be intrinsic or extrinsic. Based on his idea games can strengthen student's motivation and self – confidence. He also mentioned, if students know that they would play a vocabulary game after the lesson finished, they would look forward to participating in the game, and they would enjoy during learning. Moon (2000) had the same idea and stated that a teacher can motivate students by using games, they would be eager to learn, and it would give them a better chance of learning vocabulary successfully; unmotivated ones will have a lesser chance of success. He emphasized that fantasy help learner to interact with each other in the world which is a copy of the actual situation. This part should use carefully if a teacher uses it incorrectly, the element might interfere with the dimension of relevancy.
2.Rules and goals: They set a limit for the players. Rules can be a fixed guideline that they have to follow, which can be explicit like a manual or implicit in other hand goals are a driving force that gives motivation to learners in order to play and continue the game.
3.Sensory stimuli: audio-visually appealing games can attract students. Sound effects and music make the game interesting, but at the same time may affect the objective of the game.
4.Challenge: A game should have challenges that are not too easy nor too hard. Usually, games should start from the simple level and gradually become harder it means that at the end of a game all students are at the same level. He also added many teachers often believes that a person's achievement or disappointment is because of an absence or presence of motivation.
Loewen and Reinders (2011) stated that motivation is a desire which a person wants to reach it by engaging in a specific activity. Motivation starts from a need and leads an individual toward achieving a goal. Dornyei (2005)stated that motivation is a driving force which enables students to sustain the long and sometimes tedious learning process.
Gardner (2010) had the same idea and stated that motivation is the abstract and complex concept which is used to describe human behavior. He believed that language learning is related to the attitude of a person. According to Loewen and Reinders (2011) there are four types of motivation:
1. Intrinsic motivation:

    When people talk about motivations in work place, relative merits of intrinsic and extrinsic rewards have been put under spotlight. In the middle of 20th century, some researchers found that sometimes people do something without apparent rewards. These observation suggested that such engagement is inherently enjoyable and satisfying. This type of motivation was intrinsic motivation(Hunt, 1965).
