Pesticides are very harmful for our digestive systems, and they are used to keep bugs off of various fruits and vegetables when they’re growing. The advantage of using chromatology for seeing if pesticides are on people’s fruits and vegetables is it makes sure people aren’t consuming a harmful chemical that could make people sick or catch any harmful diseases. Especially for children. Sometimes, if an infant were to consume a fruit/vegetable that had pesticide laced over it, pesticide exposure plays a large role in neurological problems that affect their memory and attention span. “Chromatology is used in the food industries for analysis of different additives in the food. For example milk is consumed all over the world. The common adulterant that can be added in milk is pyruvic acid. Pyruvic acid is derived from lactic acid bacteria. Chromatography is employed acid bacteria.” (chemistry.tutorvista.com). This is an advantage because it makes sure that foods/drinks are safe to consume/drink and won’t make people sick. As said before, chromatography keeps mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers in a job. Without checking milk with pyruvic acid, most likely a consumer will eventually buy a bad carton and end up becoming sick. Which then causes that consumer to discontinue the use of that product, putting people out of jobs, again, drastically affecting the economy.
