Subject 1: Impact of laws on gun control in reducing gun violence in the United States. Source: The Effectiveness of Legislation Controlling Gun Usage: A Holistic Measure of Gun Control Legislation by Ik-Whan G. Kwon and Daniel W. Evaluation:
1. Authority-10 The author Ik-Whan G. Kwan is a professor of Decision Sciences at John Cook School of Business, St. Louis University. He has published 125 academic articles and papers in numerous journals. Dan Baack is an expert in advertising, brand management and international marketing. Both of the authors have high credibility and are experts in their field, as well as publishing and writing other articles and papers that are respected. 2. Accuracy-6 This article does not have any citations, but due to the background of both of the authors and the fact it is published in The American Journal of Economics and Sociology, I am giving credit. 3. Currency-8 This article was written in 2005. It is a little out of date considering all the gun control issues we have going on currently. It was updated February of 2012, so certain things are could be a little more accurate.
