Gay Dating Research Paper
The first issue on every girl's mind when considering dating is this: 'do I look good enough to attract and keep guys?'

You will probably think of a hundred slim, fabulous looking girls and how they seem to attract every guy on the planet! You may feel left out with no chance to attract and keep the guy of your dreams.

It is absolutely not true that you have to look a certain way to attract the guy of your dreams. It's all about psychology. The slim girls have only one advantage over chubby ones: that they act and behave as if they absolutely own guys. You, the chubby girl, always carry that thought inside of you questioning your worth or just questioning your physical ability to attract any guy. It's that doubt you carry with you that slashes your chances of success.

It's about genes but it's also about psychology. If you act and look awkward, unhappy with yourself, unsure about your looks, guys pick it up immediately and they will never really allow themselves to fall in love with you even if they are inclined to do

Attraction and the formation of relationships in today’s society is an everyday happening for most people and therefor it’s not surprising that numerous amounts of psychological research into interpersonal and social relationships has centred on romantic relationships. Researchers have found a number of likely factors that play a vital role in the formation of relationships, these being physical attractiveness, proximity, attitude similarity, demographic similarity and similarity in personality. Physical attractiveness in the Western World is of great importance and research has shown that being physically attractive is one of the primary determinants of whether or not you develop a relationship with someone. Investigations have shown that physical attractiveness makes people more popular and applies to both platonic and romantic relationships. A study done by Brigham (1971) found that physically attractive individuals are thought of as being generally attractive and being sociable, exciting, interesting, poised and sexually warm. Cunningham (1986) examined the particular features of men and women that make them attractive to the opposite sex and found that in relation to women what men found most attractive were large eyes, small eyes and a small chin, whereas for men, women looked for square jaws, small eyes and thin lips in terms of attraction.…

Everyone only talks about the pressure that’s put on women, but the media also puts a lot of pressure on the appearance for men. We as men are changing our looks through plastic surgery, steroids, and getting liposuction. Men feel this pressure to look good from the general media. Men are also feeling more pressure from women more than usual. A woman’s first judgment on a man is from their appearance. I have always been taught that the first impression is the most important one. If comes off as the not approachable that slims down the chance of talking to that girl. Men are held to a standard of what a perfect man should look like.…

Looks don't matter; its inner beauty that really counts. We grew up hearing these phrases. Our parents and teachers taught us not to judge people based on their looks. If all these things are true, then why do most of us judge people solely on their outer appearance? Why does the media put so much pressure on us to look a certain way, or fit into a specific size? Why do we still see headlines like “How to Lose Weight and Get Him to Like You”? Why does the media use severe airbrushing techniques to hide any flaws and impurities a person has? Magazines and media sites should not be allowed to drastically alter and manipulate people’s images and portray those images as the perfect goal one should strive to achieve. Being bombarded with unrealistic body images could have devastating effects on people, especially on women. Women need to start feeling happy and comfortable in their…

The physical attractiveness of a person influences every individual throughout every community, across the United States and around the world. All people inherit and alter their physical attractiveness, which is determined by complex, interdependent, physical, and non-physical factors. Hidden and not-hidden values drive thoughts and actions with significant effects and realities whereby higher physical attractiveness is beneficial, lower physical attractiveness is detrimental and associated pursuits are relentless. Physical attractiveness may look skin-deep as a surface aspect of appearance, but looks can be deceiving. Researchers throughout the world collect empirical data complemented with anecdotal data to probe beyond the surfaces. Through investigations that meet meticulous scientific methodological procedures, acute observations reveal previously undetected dimensions that advance understanding about physical attractiveness (Patzer, 2006).…

Beauty is skin deep, it's not about which girl is the thinnest or the fattest. It's about having an interesting personality, being down to earth, and respecting others. Of course, looks counts but it doesn't mean one to starve one's self to look good. Other famous celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Beyonce are definitely on their way to stop the 'skinny' trend and show to the world what it really means to be…

The article has a few positive and negative aspects. A pro to this article is fact that men are attracted to women with better bodies. This is generally true in society for both men and women. However, this statement is not always true. Humans are not so much attracted to a person with the best body type, but more so the body type that suites their needs the best. It is important to take care of yourself and try to look your best. Letting your looks go or becoming unhealthy and sloppy is unappealing and disrespectful to yourself and those you love. Guys should start putting a girl’s character first, and looks second. If we could only bring back words like elegant, sweet, and cute, perhaps our gender could once again turn “girls” into “ladies”. And not only that, if the typical boys’ perceptions of a perfect girl evolve, then girls can spend more time bettering their personalities rather than focusing on starving themselves to achieve that perfect stomach.…
