Gender Inequalities In Sports

In sports, there is social inequity where there is unjust and unfair circumstances involved. Through this social inequity there is inequality that results. In sports, there is a gender inequality between men and women athletes. Female athletes are often objectified and sexualize in the media for how they look while performing in their sport instead of focusing on their athletic skills. However, male athletes are not objectified and are mentioned basely on their skills of the sport they played. I would research more about gender inequality within different sports that men and women play that are unfair to female athletes.

In the specific topic female athletes are the ones who experience gender inequality when it comes to a sport they play. In this society, with the media portraying women as sexual objects and making them look weak
Through this, the economy benefits from these female athletes as they know sex sells. Using these women athletes to sell their body's and make money of them while they don't receive the same amount of pay as men.

What is being said about gender inequality within sports is that woman who excel at the sport they play, they should receive the same opportunities as men who are equally as good. As well, mentioning how woman do not receive the same opportunities as men when it comes to the amount of scholarships they receive, unequal pay, and woman sport games hardly being on TV. There is hardly any hype for women sports than there is of male sports, even though they are playing the same game. The reason most people are joining this conversation is because they are seeing how women are not being equally treated to the sport they have dedicated their life
