It is encouraged that a women stand on her two feet, become independent and live by her own rules in western and in some eastern societies. This task is not as simple as it seems. Workplaces highlight that they believe in gender equality and that both sexes are treated the same way. So why is it that we see more men working in the police force and more women teaching a junior kindergarten class? Have you ever seen a woman fight a fire and man do a secretary’s job? If you have it very rare, too rare that it’s a little hard to believe. Society needs to start accepting the fact that a women is capable of working in a man’s world and that a man can be just as “laid back” as a women. Many jobs require physical strength that a man has, but do we really know how much strength a women really has. They say if you want an FBI job done right ask a jealous woman to do it, if she can solve a mystery who says she can’t climb 20 flights of stairs to extinguish a fire. There are many taboos that exist in the workplace and unless people start to open their eyes and see the true nature behind both sexes then gender inequality in the workplace will forever remain the same.
Society and the media seem to have it all covered. Sexism is the biggest problem that to this day still exists in our society, and until they stop treating women as objects and start treating her as a human being then woman
