population believes that they aren't being treated fairly, mostly because normally there are two bathrooms when you go into a public place, Men’s and Women’s. But they think that we should have gender neutral bathrooms, which means that transgenders can go into whichever bathroom is associated with the gender they classify as. The LGBT population believe this would allow for equality. There are just as many if not more people who don't want these laws to be passed.
There are many good explanations and problems that come along with these laws being passed. To start off, the number of registered sex offenders in the United States has increased nearly a quarter in the past five years. There are around 750,000 sex offenders living in the U.S. at the time and the number is growing. This could be pose a threat to people all over country, because any one of these sex offenders could say they are a transgender and go into the bathroom of the gender they prefer and physically or mentally harm normal people. This is a huge problem that we would have to come up with a solution to if these laws were to be put into place. Because there are already many stories of people taking advantage of the gender neutral bathrooms and there aren't even that many places that allow this yet. So as more and more states allow this, the number of these cases is going to keep going
up. So in conclusion, there are many mixed opinions on the topic of gender neutral bathrooms. There is a huge rush on trying to get these laws passed so that there can be equality. And if these bathrooms are going to be allow, then there are many problems that need to be worked out first. It would be a bad idea to go ahead and allow this without working out the problems.
