General Daniel Morgan grew up in New Jersey. He loved it there, and did not want to leave. But once he hit the age of 17, he left the colony of New Jersey for Virginia. He got the nickname "The Old Waggoner" because he drove supply wagons for the British army. His favorite things were fist fighting, card games, and strong drinks. Eventually, he joined the British Army in the year of 1776. He hit a British soldier during his time serving, and was severely punished with 500 lashes to the back. Though he did joke they only slashed him 499 times, he was still serving in the army after the fact. So as you can see, he was fearless of a lot of stuff, including the British militia itself.

His men were in the middle of the battlefield, with Washington behind him. General Howard's army sat with Morgan's, an din front of them stood Pickens' Militia. As the British attacked, Pickens looped around everything, making it look like they were retreating, baiting the
