In order to survive in any situation, you must have integrity, bravery, and prior experience. All three traits give you the intelligence to make good choices, the courage to do what is best, and prepare you for different positions. In this essay I will explain how these traits are present in different sources. Some people show one trait, others show all such as Lexi Youngberg (Neville). In any time you need to survive, look to these traits; integrity, bravery, and past experience. They will guide to to the best possible outcome for your situation. Integrity. What does this mean? To be aware of a particular instance of personally encountering or undergoing something (Dictionary.com). When you have already been through hard times, you might understand how this trait can be useful so that you can make intelligent choices in future when you might be in another situation you may need to know how to feel or do something. “About the hall were mounted heads of many animals-lions, tigers, elephants, moose, bears; larger or more perfect specimens Rainsford had ever seen.” (Connell, 5). In this story, General Zaroff was also a survivor because of prior experiences. (He is the one who killed all of those animals). On his island, where he hunts humans, the General has never lost to his own game of ‘survival’. In the movie Castaway by Robert Zemekis, Chuck Noland survived by using his resources and rethinking past acquaintances so that he could build a raft, weave a rope, and cut down trees for logs. If Chuck didn’t have the consciousness of how to build a fire using two sticks, he wouldn’t have lived for as long as he did. As you can see, General Zaroff, Rainsford, and Chuck Noland all had prior experience to go on a long

For example Ty from Street Pharm shows the trait bravery through never showing fear and fighting for his life all for the family business. To start off Ty is brought into the police station because he is accused of being a hustler. “If they bring ya in, don’t sweat it. Stay cool and stick to yo’ story (Van Diepen 153).” This quote reveals that by Ty not showing fear he is not giving the cops any reason to believe he is guilty. If he shows any sign that he is guilty he will be sent to prison. This shows the trait…

The book of Zeitoun is like none other that I have read before. Through this captivating story, the characters are faced with so many challenges with the coming of Hurricane Katrina, prejudices, and losing everything that you’ve come to know and love. Every day Zeitoun is faced with problems due to being part of a culture that is often looked down upon and discriminated. Three cultural differences that he encountered were getting rejected from clients because of his name, accused of being a terrorist, and his religious beliefs.…

Integrity is a virtue that has always been around and it is an important characteristic to have. In the play, The Crucible, Tituba finally confesses to who all saw the devil. When she fessed up, Betty, Abigail and Parris all joined in and were being honest to Mr. Putnam. This started a whole other issue in now punishing those who encountered the devil. The virtue of integrity is still so present today in society. Integrity is to be honest about something even though it may hurt you. It is also doing the right thing even when no one is watching. In today’s society, people have to have integrity. This makes other people want to trust you when you have a trustworthy quality. Sadly, it is less common now but there are still people who are full of integrity and it is such a great thing.…

Integrity is a word that we hear quite often. I myself use it a lot as I speak on my life and my marriage. Having integrity is the key element in every situation. In my way of thinking, when I just see the word integrity it comes off as a strong word within it self. My definition of integrity is commitment, wholeness, trust, strength, compassion, love, peace, togetherness, boldness, patience and most of all honesty. To have integrity, you have to have all the above. As we all should know, in any relationship integrity is the foundation and the main recipe. Even when it comes down to your children, integrity is a main source.…

To have integrity means adhering to a strict moral or code, being undivided, completeness, or being honest with yourself. Having integrity is doing what you say you are going to do and believing in what you say. If you go ahead and do something else, chances are that you lack integrity. For example, you value honesty in a person, but when they tell you their honest opinion about something, you become upset. This shows a lack of integrity. Integrity is important to a person because it leads to high self esteem and self respect. If you cannot respect yourself, and you cannot trust yourself, then how can you expect others to trust and respect you?…

“The Most Dangerous game” by Richard Connell is about what seems to be the “Most Dangerous” game. The Most Dangerous Game is about a hunter named Rainsford. General Zaroff, the owner of shoptrat island, welcomes him to his island and reveals that he is out to hunt Rainsford. Rainsford then defeats General Zaroff, and Rainsford lives in his mansion for an unknown amount of time. In TDMG, General Zaroff, besides for his mental state, has some pretty solid character traits.…
