Genetically modified crops is as known as (GM crops) is a crops that the DNA that been change by humans that using a techniques called “genetic engineering”. Genetically modified crops is the source of used in the research to produce more useful and better crops. Genetic engineering is a precise techniques which manipulate the plants in order to combine the genes from another organism to achieve the condition such as it last longer, disease resistance and it has diffrent colors/shapes. Genetically modified food(GM food) genetically been modified by using the modern biotechnology techniques.
GM crops is produced because there are some advantages both to the producer and consumer of these crops. The aim to produced GM crops based on GM organism was to develop the crop protection against plant disease such as the insects and viruses to cause the plants can’t grow perfectly. Second, the aim of producing GM crops is to make the crops durable, and it means the crops will not easily withered. In GM crops, Insect resistance is developed and combine into the food crops and this toxin is use for insect in agriculture also safe for human usage to consume the food.
The person who produces GM crops is the Mosanto company. More than 90% the Mosanto company create the GM crops both also food. The company is applying the technology to support the farmers to have a good developed crops and help to produce healthy foods.
To make GM crops are first, we need to choose the plant to modify it but so far scientist modify cotton, soy, rice, oil seed rape and maize. Second, choose a bacterium that prduce proteins that can kills the insects from attacking the plants. Third, we must remove the gene to create the protein for the desired traits. Fourth, we just need to transfer the gene to the plants that we want to protect from the insects. To transfer it there is a kind of technology called “gene gun”. Fifth, we
