Genetically Modified Foods: Harmful Or Helpful?
Introduction
This task is about Genetically Modified (GM) Food. It has literature review, which has information taken from different sources in the internet. Methodology is where I explain how am I going to collect the information, number of questionnaires that will be handed out to people and explaining how am I going to be fair to people who are going to answer my questionnaires and interviews. There is going to be presentation of findings, where the findings from interviews and questionnaires going to be presented in the form of graphs, pie charts and tables.

Dr Ron Epstein says in his journal GM Foods can cause problems for many religions that have strict or special diets. Religions like Jews and Muslims do not eat pork. Inserting pig’s genes in the vegetables, it will violate their restrictions because they do not eat pork. They would not be happy to find out that their vegetables contain pig’s genes. The quality of the source is reliable because this information was uploaded by a doctor who might have done a research on GM foods and also the information might not be biased because the information was uploaded by a doctor. It is not valid because the information was uploaded 18 years ago. From 1996 till now, there have been changes. So I cannot say there information is valid. It is useful and limited information because it is information from the doctor.

She said researchers has not shown that GM foods are harmful to human health and she also said that they do not cause allergies, people must read the packets or packaging of the products they to see if whether it contains ingredients that cause allergies for example Brazilian nuts. She also said GM foods have many vitamins than organic food. This information is not useful it is someone’s views about GM foods and is also a blog. It is not reliable as it is her views or opinions. Some researchers might say there are no side effects with GM foods some might say they do have side effects.     In today’s day and age, it seems like technology is getting more advanced by the day. Because of this technology, many high income countries such as America now have the ability to mass produce food as well as to genetically modify it to enhance the size, flavor, and appearance.     They argue that the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) has discovered through animal testing that GMOs to lead dangerous health risks from accelerated aging and immune system problems passing by organ damaging and infertility. According to the physicists of the AAEM, there is a direct relation between GMOs and these health problems (Smith 48). In fact, in 2009, the AAEM urged all doctors to prescribe all their patients non-GMOs diets as, according to them, many of the cases where doctors could not identify the cause of the problem were caused by GMOs (Smith 48). Could one of these problem be allergies? Because another research discovered that GMOs could accidently transfer allergens from one type of food to another, like it was done with the Brazil nuts that contaminated GMOs soybean (“Should You Worry...” 5).     The two articles I have chosen are both peer-reviewed and have two different opinions about GMO’s. The first article, titled “GMO’s and Global Justice” by Kristian Toft, is against the use of GMO’s, explaining how they are bad for us as human beings and for our environment.
