The Majority of mega cities and millionaire cities are found in Asia, specifically China and India due to their high population.
Major Cities
• Rome was really the first major city, with a population of 1million in ancient times.
• During the 1800s however London became the greatest city followed swiftly by the North American and Australian cities.
• In 1900s New York overtook London as the greatest city in the world.
• Since 1950 however due to a faster rate of natural increase, and internal migration developing countries have overtaken developed countries in the front of Mega Cities and Millionaire cities.
