Georgia Peach Research Paper
Peaches are not only a delicious fruit, but the peach is Georgia’s state fruit. Georgia is known for its delicious peaches and the productivity of peaches, and people living in Georgia are often referred to as Georgia Peaches. However, there is more to the peach than just being a fruit or a symbol of Georgia. The peach has had an impact of Georgia’s history, is fairly easy to grow, and has many health benefits as well. The peach is something worth learning about. For most people when they think Georgia they think peaches. However, most people are unaware of how the peach came to be in Georgia. Peach production first started in 1857 when a man by the name of Mr. I. C. Plant purchased a peach tree and gave it to his friend Samuel Lewis Rumph. Samuel Lewis Rumph took this tree and planted it on his farm, and cared for it as it grew. Eventually the tree grew into a large tree with many delicious peaches on the tree. Peaches have been known to help with weight loss by making one feel full. Peaches are also only 35-40 calories, depending on the size of the peach. Vitamin A and Vitamin C are also present in a peach and help to regulate skin tissue. Peaches also help reduce hair loss, stress, and anxiety. Peaches have been known to help prevent cancer due to a mineral called antioxidant properties which protects from cell damage. Peaches are not just a fruit, they are a health benefit as well. Peaches are a large part of Georgia’s history and play an important role in the Civil War. Peaches are easy to plant, grow, and harvest, and they are also very delicious to eat. Peaches are known for helping with health issues and also stress and anxiety.
