Gestational Diabetes Summary

The article that I read discussed the two main types and most common forms of diabetes, but it also discussed gestational diabetes. Gestational diabetes generally occurs in women who are older in age, a personal or family related health history, or are more obese. It discusses that women with an insulin producing defect are the ones who are more likely to develop gestational diabetes, because their pancreas is unable to make enough insulin to support both the mother and the fetus. Gestational diabetes isn't just a black and white thing, there are several different parts to it that these doctors have researched.
