Planning and Preparation
What is the purpose of the discussion?
The discussion will be on whether or not the government should bring back capital punishment in order to punish somebody for a crime which they commit. During the discussion we will be discussing the points which are for capital punishment to be brought and the points against it being brought back.

What information do I need to get, to prepare for the discussion?
The information that I will need to get in order to prepare for this discussion will be points for and against the argument we are discussing, I will also be getting some facts and evidence to help back up my ideas about the points which I am putting forward to the group. I may also putting forward some points which may be shocking so I am able to help engage other members of the group and make them effected by the point being raised.
What evidence will I have of my preparation for the discussion? (e.g. notes)
The evidence which I will be getting some facts on how capital punishment has been used in the past and what upset it has caused and if it has been used necessarily or not. I will try and get some government opinions on whether or not they think that capital punishment should be brought back.
What other things will I need to think about to help make it a useful discussion? (e.g. things to do; things to avoid)
During the discussion I will need to think about how I can get the other members of my group involved in the discussion and make it easier for them to voice their own opinions to the group. The things I will also be doing are using a pleasant tone of voice while talking to the group, when other members of the group are speaking I will be listening to their opinions and taking in what they say and giving a reply.
