    Fantasia Barrino

My first choice would have been a movie called Freedom Writers, however, since Brittany has already discussed it I’ll discuss another movie. The movie that is the next most powerful story I know is called “The Fantasia Barrino Story: Life Is Not a Fairy Tale.” Most of you probably have seen it before, if not you probably remember Fantasia Barrino whom was the winner of American Idol: Season 3. When Fantasia Barrino was in high school she was raped, she felt so alone after the attack and thought no one would believe her so she dropped out of school. Now Fantasia was a teenage dropout who had no money, no education and no chance at a real future. At 16, Fantasia found herself in an abusive relationship that left her pregnant and lost. But she refused to give up on her dreams. This movie tells how this inspiring young single mom used her incredible voice to become an American Idol, as well as a Grammy®-nominated, platinum-selling recording artist. This movie was very emotional because when the movie got towards the middle I was crying my eyes out. This movie has made Fantasia Barrino my idol and it had a really huge impact on me because my story is similar to hers so I can relate. The author of this movie had an effect of her audience by the way the movie was interesting from beginning to the end. Another way is because this movie is very encouraging to young women and even some men too. In my narrative next week I would like to write about never giving up on your dreams.…

We have recently been assigned to write a letter to a congressmen on a currently used program that dates back to the New Deal, we needed to explain our views on the changes that should or shouldn’t be made to the program of our preference. The program I chose was the Federal Communications Commission, FCC, it focuses on providing reasonable communication regulation throughout the United States by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable. My opinion on the FCC was positive, I believe it is a great program that will help increase communication in the U.S. for those who did not have access to it prior to being helped. With our technology advancing in speed and structure, it is hard to keep updated on the changes, for some it seems impossible to catch up with all the new innovations that are introduced daily. My letter was sent to Barbara Boxer, she is a democrat and the junior United States senator from California, the reason I chose her was because she was a member of the Environment and Public Works Committee, which focuses on matters relating to the environment and infrastructure. She has had experience working…

Then to a journalist named Carl Bernstein, with whom she had two sons, Jacob and Max, but while she was pregnant which her youngest son she found out about Bernstein’s affair with a close friend of hers, Margaret Jay, which ended their relationship but also inspired her to write the 1893 novel Heartburn. Periodically, as I skim newspaper articles on line or in the local papers for an article that peaks my interest. This week the article that peaked my attention was one wrote by Jennifer Rubio of the Washington Post titled “Trumps campaign turmoil suggests his greatest weakness”. (Robin, paragraph 4) At first I thought hmm this is just another campaign dirty article about Presidential hopeful Donald Trump, but as I read it, I thought deeper about the message the author was trying to convey. This is an article about lack of character, self-respect, weakness, self-actualization and the overall inability to become an example for the American citizens. This article is not just about the Presidential hopeful Mr. Trump, it’s about what is missing in the United States at this time.…

Have a little Faith, Don’t give up” was quoted by the famous Fantasia Barrino. The quote is simply saying when life gets tough and hard, just keep the faith and go on. Fantasia is important in the music industry because her cousins are the famous K-Ci and JoJo from the group “Jodeci”. She is also important because people thought she wouldn’t be successful because she dropped out of high school and was functionally illiterate. I chose Fantasia because My mother and I love her music and she is also a prime example of a person who didn’t give up no matter what was thrown at her.…

Should women be allowed to have equal rights ? Sojourner Truth and Alice Walker both discuss that women do the same jobs as men and they don't get the rights they deserve , even though they struggle for justice. Sojourner Truth's perspective on civil rights is that men weren't better then women because women were doing both men and women jobs. They were all negroes so they were battling. Alice's perspective was that even though slavery ended women were still fighting like men to be treated equally.…
