Global Warming Editorial
Dear Editor, Pollution in our world is leading to increased Global Warming. This Global Warming is a problem that if it doesn't effect us, it will effect all future generations to come. Global Warming is a problem that all of us can solve, and it should be solved through the work of our community. The Global Warming Problem is a big problem, with such an easy solution. Global Warming is caused by the Greenhouse Effect. The Greenhouse effect causes the sun's rays to come in the earth's atmosphere, and when it bounces back, more and more of the sun's rays stay in the Earth, heating up the average global temperature. Greenhouse gasses cause the addition of the Greenhouse Effect. Greenhouse Gasses cause an increase in the Greenhouse Effect. Greenhouse Gasses are created whenever a fossil fuel is burned. It is not the burning of the fossil fuel, but the emissions of the gas from the burning fossil fuel that adds to the Greenhouse Effect. Greenhouse Gasses in this planet are natural, but with added amounts of Greenhouse Gasses, the Greenhouse Effect gets much stronger. There are several simple solutions, but many people don't care about the environment enough to help stop Global Warming. One Step to stop Global Warming could be to turn off your computers when you finish with them, because computers use electricity, witch is created mostly by the burning of Fossil Fuels. Another Step to control Global Warming could be to use Public Transportation, rather than each person driving around in a car, because each less car reduces the level of oil burned. Another way to stop Global Warming could be to Recycle, because lots of garbage is burned, adding to the Greenhouse Effect. Global Warming is a serious problem, and it needs to be solved, NOW!

Global warming is when the earth heats up and the temperature rises. This is caused by green house gases trap heat and light from the sun in the earth’s atmosphere which in turn causes the temperature to increase. Examples of these greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide, methane, carbon monoxide and nitrous oxide. (library.thinkquest.org, 2011).…

Greenhouse gases are natural occurring gases that hold in some of the heat energy that comes from the sun and bounce off of the earths’ surface; it’s not that these gases are bad in nature, we actually depend on them to keep the climate of our earth at a sustainable temperature, with that being said though, they are only positive for our atmosphere in moderation. In nature the gases such as CO2, Nitrous Oxide and…

The 'greenhouse effect' takes place when certain gases in the atmosphere of the earth trap heat. The term 'greenhouse' is used because light is allowed to reach the earth, but most of the heat generated is not allowed to escape, just as in a greenhouse. The more the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, the more heat will be trapped within the earth's atmosphere, causing average earth temperatures to rise.…

What is global warming? Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of Earth’s surface air and oceans. This is a result of greenhouse gas; such as carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, and methane that traps heat and light from the sun in the Earths atmosphere. This is known as the greenhouse effect. A good example of the greenhouse effect would be your automobile. When you leave your car parked in the sun on a hot day with all the windows up, the temperature of your car will rise. This happens because the heat and light from the sun can enter into the car through the window, but it cannot exit. This is what the greenhouse effects do to our earth. The heat and light can get through the atmosphere, but it cannot get out. As a result, the temperature of earth’s surface air and oceans rises. Although the greenhouse effect is what allows us to live on earth, if too many greenhouse gases get trapped in Earths atmosphere, earth can get unusually warm.…

Global warming and the greenhouse effect Global warming is related to changes in the Earth's greenhouse effect. Global warming is an increase in the overall temperature of the earth’s atmosphere. The Greenhouse Effect is the trapping of the Sun’s warmth in the Earth’s lower atmosphere. There are two main causes of the Greenhouse Effect. The first one is Natural Greenhouse Effect and the second one is Enhanced Greenhouse Effect. Both of these causes contribute to Global Warming.…

The earth has been around for billions of years and many issues in our time as a species have risen up. One matter that has come up is the issue of global warming or climate change. This conflict has been around for many years, but has started to get worse every year, since the United States and other countries have been emitting carbon dioxide into the earth’s atmosphere. Global warming is an urgent issue; moreover, there exists a controversy on whether humanity or nature is the cause, and the scientists who consider this a serious matter are entirely correct because humans are at fault.…

The greenhouse effect is a primary cause of global warming. It is a gradual rise in temperature in the earth's atmosphere due to the heats absorption from the sun and entrapment of gases, water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, in the air around the earth. An example of this is a bright sunlight will effectively warm an individual’s car on a cold, clear day by the greenhouse effect. The longer infrared wavelengths radiated by sun-warmed objects do not pass readily through the glass. The trap of this energy warms the interior of the vehicle. The trapping of the hot air so that it cannot rise and lose the energy by convection also plays a major role. Stephen Novdia stated, “The greenhouse effect was discovered by Joseph Fourier in 1824, first reliably experimented on by John Tyndall in 1858, and first reported quantitatively by Svante Arrhenius in 1896” (Global Warming). Greenhouse effect then becomes a primary cause of global warming.…

An issue in today’s world is the environment. There is dispute over what we should do about it. One issue in the environment is global warming. Global warming has become a problem around the world; it is caused by CO2 emissions and other gases in the atmosphere that cause the sun’s thermal energy to be absorbed, otherwise known as the greenhouse effect. Studies have shown that at least 20% of ice on Earth has melted since 1979. Although it may not sound so bad, every year we deplete the natural ice on Earth by using CO2-emitting machines such as vehicles, factories, and other heavy machinery. The depleting may accelerate until all naturally-made ice caps and glaciers are gone. Ocean levels will rise sky-high from the melted ice.…

In the past 100 years, the temperature of our Earth has increased by about 4.5 degrees (Guggenheim). This may not seem like a lot, but on a global scale, it can have a huge impact. Global Warming is a serious problem, and it should be taken very seriously. Unless we take action now, we will have major consequences to deal with later on. These include, but are certainly not limited to, extreme weather, a decline in polar life, and effects on human health. It seems like Global Warming has become such a political issue that people tend to take a side based solely on the political party they support. This needs to stop. No matter where you fall on the political spectrum, you cannot ignore the facts. The temperature of our atmosphere has been increasing at an alarming rate in recent years. Global warming is happening, and action needs to be taken to stop it, no exceptions.…
