God and Guy
“Lord Lord”
God: Jonathan
Guy 1: Ryan
Guy 2: Manuel

God: Ryan!
Guy 1: Hey, Lord!
God: So how did it go with Manuel? Did you talk to him?
Guy 1: Oh! Well Lord, not exactly.
God: Did you forgive him?
Guy 1: Well, Lord, I was just thinking, why should I forgive him?
God: Because I asked you to?
Guy 1: Well, yeah I know you did Lord, but why?
God: We shouldn’t have to know why. Just that I asked you to do it
Guy 1: That doesn’t make any sense Lord; I mean you don’t understand the situation. Manuel has an attitude problem
God: Ryan, do you believe that I know what it is best for you and for Manuel?
Guy 1: Well yeah Lord
God: Than you’ll do this
Guy 1: But Lord
God: This is no different than when I have asked you to do anything else
Guy 1: Yes this is Lord, this is way different
God: When I asked you to quit your job, you quit
Guy 1: Well, of course Lord, but I didn’t like my job so I was happy to leave. Ya know, this is way different! Okay Lord, you know what, I’ve got an idea, what about we give it a week and I’ll pray about it!
God: Uhh, I’ll give you my answer now
Guy 1: But Lord!
God: Look, Manuel’s coming by here very soon
Guy 1: He’s coming by here?!
God: Yes
Guy 1: Well let’s go! (Starts pushing God like he wants to leave)
God: Now’s your chance to talk to him, I want you to forgive him (Pushes him the other way)
Guy 1: But Lord you don’t understand! (Turns around and Guy 2 runs right into him)
Guy 2: Hey!!
Guy 1: Hey!
Guy 2: Manuel! Hi! It’s been like two weeks since we’ve hung out!
Guy 1: Yeah! Oh, it has!
Guy 2: We should totally get together this week!
Guy 1: Wow, I can’t do that, I am so busy!
Guy 2: Oh!
Guy 1: Yeah!
Guy 2: Well, how about next week?
Guy 1: Well, you know, actually I don’t think it’s going to happen for a while
Guy 2: Oh, well, is everything okay?
Guy 1: Oh yeah, everything’s great!
Guy 2: Uh huh, alright umm I guess I’ll just umm see you later then… (Exits stage)
Guy 1: Bye!
Guy 1: Lord did you

Hi Peeps, Today's Quote "Whatever you struggle with, don't be surprised if it's your test to get to the next level" ~Taryn Barnes I haven't been on this Earth very long, but I can say without a doubt that God has a very funny sense of humor. Yesterday, I talked about forgiveness and that it was something I was working on. Sure enough, only hours later, I was placed in a situation where my forgiveness levels were put to the test. God put me smack dab in the room with the person I was struggling to forgive.…

“You thought I was actually going to save you?” Georg has a confused and scared look on his face. “But… you shared your wine flask with me… I thought we were friends.” Georg says. Ulrich is silent, thinking of how to word his next sentence. “Honestly, I thought your men would find you first and kill me. I couldn’t risk dying and giving up my land. I trick you into thinking we were friends so I wouldn’t die.” Ulrich says with an evil smile on his face. Georg laid there silently, wordless. Ulrich gets up and starts to walk away. He pauses. “That will teach you and your men to stay off my land.” Ulrich leaves the scene with his men leaving Georg to die in the…

Only mere hours ago we were leading separate lives, and now we were to come together and choose a leader. The men and women around the table were each feeling the same sense of dread. The words “Please, don’t pick me!” were figuratively written on a bubble above everyone’s head. As I gazed upon this collection of strangers, I began to feel empathetic. Each of us knew the weight of this responsibility, yet none of us wanted to take it. Suddenly, as if someone else took control of my voice, I said confidently, “I’ll do it.” It was at that moment that God gave me the confidence to overcome my…

    Jesus and Christ

    • 1069 Words

My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness .9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you[d] alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.[e] and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. 11 In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh[b] was put off when you were circumcised by[c] Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. 8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces[a] of this world rather than on Christ. 20 Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules: 21 “Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”?22 These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings. 23 Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any…
