Benchmark Assignment: Gospel Essentials
“For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him” (Philippians 1:29). As I was looking for bible verse to help write this paper this verse came up and it goes with the whole paper. This one verse just how much we need to sacrifice for Jesus because he did for us but this message says that we not only to believe in him but we also need to suffer for him. In this paper I will be talking about God and his work, Humanity- are strengths and weakness, Jesus- who he is, Restoration- what our role and Jesus role was, Analysis- my belief in Christian faith and Reflection- what do I believe.

The bible speaks on God as “God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirt” but is underlined as One God. “God said let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepth upon the earth.” (Genesis 1:26) God is said to be a triune or trinity God. I believe that is why it is so hard for me to live the way God wants me to because I have never seen him so how do I know he is real. He answer my payers must of the time but he keeps taking my loves ones to come back with him and leaving me here on earth without them. I know Jesus died on the cross for our sins and that God sent him down to show us the way we are supposed to be living. I love God and I would never deny him in front of anyone not even the devil and I would never worship the devil. Doctrinal faith is the beginning and the test of Christianity. If our statement of faith is wrong, than our faith is misplaced. Our faith must be grounded on correct knowledge of God. However, intellectual knowledge of God is not enough. Emotional expression and volition are equally important. The Holy Spirit acts on behalf of Jesus Christ to plant faith in a Christian’s heart. He indwells us, and helps us exercise our faith daily. We can grow in our faith by studying God’s word, seeking the Lord, confessing sin, actively following biblical principles, and constantly communicating with God. Faith is ultimately a reliance and trust of God, and the Bible teaches us to rely on Him for everything.…

    God, a higher power, is defined as a “Supreme Being, the creator and ruler of the universe” or the Almighty Lord, however, there is no clear description of how he or she looks like but in the bible, Genesis 1:24 we see that God said he will make “human beings; they will be like us and resemble us…[and so] God created human beings making them to be like himself”.
