Congressman Marc Veasey
The current United States government is a Federalist Republic government, where the states all have less power and the central government have most the power. The central government is comprised of a 2 house system, the House of Representatives and the Senate. Texas has it the same way also, the Texas House of Representatives and the Texas Senate. Marc Veasey is a member of the Texas house of representatives in district 33 which includes parts of Fort Worth, Arlington, Grand Prairie, Irving, and Oak Cliff. The majority of the population that lives in district 33 are Hispanics and Whites with Blacks and others being the minority. District 33 also houses most of Dallas / Fort Worth military business establishments which is very important for the economy not only in the area but for the state of Texas. Marc Veasey has been in public service for over a decade, first elected to the Texas House in 2004 to represent District 95 and has now gone for four consecutive terms in district 33.Marc serves on the House Armed Services Committee as well as the Environmental Regulation, Elections, and many other military committee's. Marc is a Texas Democrat that is known for his stance on voting rights, affordable healthcare, good schools and jobs. Marc is backed by many labor organizations such as the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organization, American Federation of Teachers, National Education Association, and the Texas medical Association just to name a few. In district 33, which has many military establishments in the area from defense to scientific research and development, with Marc Veasey serving on the House Armed Services Committee and the Tactical Air and Land Forces Subcommittee, issues dealing anything with military establishments will certainly get Marc's attention and his voice defending it. Another issue in the area would be immigration, as far as the area is away
