2. The stage design created for the play Grapes of Wrath was that the stage was created in a way that had dual levels. For example the stage had a lower section, and in the lower section the stage designer was able to incorporate a little pool that was later used as an river in the play. The use of real water and a pool large enough for the actors to swim and play added to the overall play. I also liked how the stage designer used a projector to project different background scenery images to help the audience keep track of change of time and location as the family traveled. In the play Grapes of Wrath I believe the message that was communicated to the audience was to always try and make the best out of bad and crummy situations. In life we will face many obstacles and hardships but to not give up. Just like the Joad family after grandma and grandpa died, they still continued to California. After Rose of Sharon husband left her, she still had hope and helped her family, and after her baby was born dead, she did what she could to help a dying man in the barn. I felt that over and over in the play the Joad family showed people to continue, though whatever mess life throws at us and to always put our wants and desire into perspective above
