I want to change the world. A simple yet bold statement that our educators have ingrained into our minds ever since the beginning. Each and everyone of us were told that we had the potential to make a huge impact on the lives of many. I believe that fixing the smaller problems could potentially change us in various ways. There are some beings out there who see the world from a whole different perspective, a clearer one to be exact. These people look at every detail, in order to pinpoint and try to enhance the everyday objects. I do not speak of inventors or scientist, I want to contribute to the world through the power of graphic design. Four years of university is required because employers will be looking for at least a bachelor's degree. It is recommended that individuals seeking to pursue this career are knowledgeable about the Adobe programs like Photoshop and InDesign. Additional art classes are also recommended for students to successfully build their portfolio. The earning potential of a graphic design artist is approximately $60,000 per year, but on average, the graphic designers make around $45,000. Some companies will look for creative students during their last few years of school, and recruit them for work right after graduating. There is showcase for graduating students that gives them a chance to appeal to these companies: there portfolio is crucial. The entry salary is typically around $40,000, and like any other job, the pay will increase with years of experience. Most senior graphic designers make anywhere between $60,000 through $80,000 annually. Almost every company needs a graphic designer for their products and branding. Some graphic designers work closely with the marketing and advertising teams in order to manufacture goods that consumers want to buy. This still is an intensely competitive field with a growth rate of 1%. Companies do not need multiple designers, they only need the cream of the crop.
