Great Quotes from Great Leaders by Peggy Anderson

Zig Ziglar had this to say about quotes:
"If you're like me, you'll jump at the chance to bypass all the churning and scoop the cream right off the top. And that's what quotes are...the cream of our learning."
I couldn't agree more! Since I was a freshman in college, I've loved quotations. The right words can engage the brain and bring an idea to life. With quotes, I've had many "a-ha" moments, where I've read it and thought, "Wow, that's exactly how I feel!" An idea that was once a "blur" can suddenly become crystal clear.
This extraordinary book will be a source of inspiration and knowledge for many years to come. It is a beautiful coffee table edition with 160 pages, 75 wonderful photographs and over
400 great quotations from leaders in all walks of life. Some of the leaders include: Benjamin
Franklin, Winston Churchill, Thomas Jefferson, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, Jr., Walt
Disney, Abraham Lincoln, Eleanor Roosevelt, Nelson Mandela, Albert Einstein, John F.
Kennedy, Mahatma Gandhi, Helen Keller, Henry Ford, Ronald Reagan, Pope John Paul II,
George S. Patton, Booker T. Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, Sam Walton, John Wooden,
Ray Kroc...to name a few.
Today I'd like to share a few of my favorite quotes from some of my favorite leaders in this book. (Excerpt from Great Quotes from Great Leaders)
1. "The best thing about the future is that it comes only one day at a time."
Abraham Lincoln
(1809-1865)
2. "Life is a series of experiences, each of which makes us bigger, even though it is hard to realize this. For the world was built to develop character, and we must learn that the setbacks and griefs which we endure help us in our marching onward."
Henry Ford
(1863-1947)
3. "Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless."
Mother Teresa
(1910-1997)
4. "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts."

My father and uncles’ instilled a statement in my head from a young age that I will never forget. This statement is closely related to the Law of Legacy and very relevant to being a leader in the modern business world. The statement only consists of a few words, but these words are very powerful and if this statement is followed, your reputation as a leader will be respected and hopefully emulated. The statement is, “Lead by example, do what is right, be the best you can be, and treat others the way you would like to be treated.”…

If you have ever been in the midst of a big project and lost determination, chances are you needed motivation, and what better motivation is there than quotes? People turn to quotes when they are sad, happy, stressed, etc. to read about their feelings that they can't quite express. Quotes can come from small authors, big companies, or even anonymous unpaid writers, but nevertheless , all quotes affect us in one way or the other. Quotes can be applied to people as they describe a person or persuade a reader to learn from their inspirational content. With this logic, I hand picked anonymous quotes that would describe and teach Gigi, Bette, and June how to take a deeper look at their hidden personalities.…
