A myth by definition is a traditional or legendary story, usually concerning some being or hero or event, with or without a determinable basis of fact or a natural explanation, especially one that is concerned with deities or demigods and explains some practice, rite, or phenomenon of nature. Phil would naturally be the reluctant or not so reluctant demigod. In fact, at a point in the movie he calls himself a god, but I am getting ahead of myself. This flawed main character lives through the day selfishly at first, so he is forced to live through it again and again until he gets it right. This will probably feel like hell to him, much like a twilight zone episode I saw not too long ago. The man dies and goes to what he considers heaven. He lives out all of his selfish dreams, but later becomes bored in that life and tries to tell the person in charge that there must have been a mix-up and that he should be sent to hell now. The voice responded, "What makes you think this isn't Hell?" Phil felt like this day was hell and tried to commit suicide numerous times in the movie, and this could be taken as a rebirth of his soul, in which he realized that he could find more happiness helping others. He does just that, and lives happily ever after. What is the moral of the story? Try to do the right thing the first time, so you won't have to live through that hell. Make the most of your
