The estimated population of the country is 114,975,406. A majority of which are aged 15-64 years old. People residing in Mexico are an amalgamation of Spanish descendants, immigrants who are predominantly Europeans, those who settled in the country since the 16th century. Mixed indigenous groups are also in the country, an example is the mestizos. There are 62 indigenous languages but their official language is Spanish. The country has residents who are predominantly Roman Catholic, having 89% of the population. 6% are Protestants. The other denominations include the Jehovah’s Witnesses. 86% of the population know how to read and write. When it comes to governance, Mexico adapts a Federal republic system. It covers 31 states and the Federal District of Mexico which is separated into 3 branches. These branches are the; independent executive, or the President; legislative body, the Congress, and the judicial branch called the Supreme Court of Justice that includes the federal and local systems. The electoral system in Mexico resembles the one we practice in the country. The President is elected for a term that is 6 years long. The Congress is bi-cameral; it consists of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies. The current Head
